First Review for CR-30 Printmill

CR-30 PrintMill

I have tried using CR-30 Printmill yesterday. That was my first time using CR-30 and I was shocked.

As compared with the other traditional printers, CR-30 PrintMills is an advanced printer with a totally new structure and theory,

I am not going to share the CR-30 assembly process here. Because it has already been unboxed a few months ago by Eli. Therefore I am no going to talk about the assembly here. However, if anyone has interested in how to assemble the CR-30 Printmill. Please click the below link.

Using Experience

Bfore talking about my own experience on CR-30 PrintMill, I would like to show you guys some pictures.

A Super cute Rat

As you can see, the Rat print actually needs some support at two places. One is below the left ear and the other one is the corner beside the left feet (If you face to rat’s face).

However, I did not use any support on the model when slicing it in CrealityBelt——the slicing software of CR-30 PrintMill.

Guess what? The amazing thing is that CR-30 PrintMill did NOT failed this print. It really surprised me!

I have watched the whole process of how CR-30 PrintMill worked on the print. Actually, It did not print well at the beginning of this rat. The filament came out from the nozzle in the air and could not find the support so that there was a little mess at the left feel of the rat.

Judging from previous experience, the print will be failed because the first a few layers did not stick on the hotbed successfully.

But I found that although the filament instead of sticking on the bed, cooled down so quick and hangs in the air. The nozzle did not play the snowball with the filament at all. Therefore, the print got better as the printer worked further.


Is the CR-30 PrintMill structure good for the layer adhesion than the other FDM gantry printers? As it does not requires the whole first layer to stick on the bed perfectly. Theoretically, you will find that each layer will be based on the last layer that the printer made because of the 45-degree angles.

This is my own feeling about this kind of 45-degree angle printer. How do you think?Please share your opinion in the below comments area.
