I was trying to replace the extruder nozzle when I got a small spark when my wrench touched the pliers. I believe the pliers must have been touching a bare spot on the heating element and grounded out through the wrench. Now it doesn't heat up the fan runs at max speed and the display. Reads the nozzle at 177 degrees and the bed at 99 degrees. Attempting to pre heat the nozzle results in the heating cycle shutting down with an error message.
So my question is have I fried the board or can this be fixed without replacing the board? And if I do have to replace the board, what's the best replacement? Keep it stock or upgrade?
Any help is appreciated :0)
