@jmartens1114 That depends on what touchscreen you want. If you’re looking at something like the BTT TFT35, then you’ll also need to replace the mainboard with something like an SKR Mini E3 V2.

Those two are supported in the daily builds.

@marlin-firmware-service hi, I’m talking about the Ender three upgrade touchscreen being offered by the official Creality 3d website. It seems as if I can only get it to run on their version of marlin motherboard firmware. I, for the life of me, cannot find a way to match how they did it and their customer service doesn’t understand my questions. So I thought I’d reach out and make a request to the subscription service that I participate in to maybe add it to their options for the service.

@jmartens1114 I have seen mention of this screen – but my questions to Creality have also been unanswered – as such, there’s very few details about this screen or how it works right now.

Are you using it with a v4.2.2 mainboard?

@jmartens1114 Oh – it comes with the mainboard!

The only information I’ve seen is published here:

https://www.creality3dofficial.com/collections/accessories/products/upgraded-touch-panel-screen-display-kits-for-ender-3

I’m still keen to get any further information on this setup – as right now, its a mystery.

Well I’ve gotten a hold of the manufacturers name and started the conversation on how to program one. Boy that’s gonna take some time for me. I wish I could reverse engineer the bin files so I can just make changes in marlin but hey what the heck, I’m always crawling down rabbit holes for fun.lol. The company that makes them is dwin and they’re pretty nice so far.

have a great day

Well I bought mine separate on Amazon. They have a couple files that you can download for the motherboard and touchscreen in the listing. If you would like the bin files I could send you the link in the morning?

@jmartens1114 which motherboard are you using?  I have the silent motherboard v4.2.7 and just got the Creality touch screen on Amazon separately also. I cannot find the right firmware to use with it.

DWIN make the screens for the Ender 3 V2 – maybe the CR6 as well… likely that none of the information on how to drive the screen has been merged with Marlin yet – or it might not be even submitted…

Until that changes, you’re going to be forced to use the stock firmware provided by Creality.
