Hi!  Just signed up & downloaded Ender3-v4.2.2-Stock-20210214.bin f/w for my Ender3 V2 (v4.2.2 board, stock).  Wondering what LCD f/w I should use?  And install instructions?  Sorry this is such a noob question…

Cheers, /ghjk

Check the firmware you’re using – the filename doesn’t match the printer you mentioned.

Regarding the LCD, unless you purchased your Ender 3 V2 within the first few months of production, you don’t need to update the LCD firmware.

@marlin-firmware-service Thanks for your heads-up on the wrong file.  I should use Ender3-V2-Stock-20210221.bin instead (for v4.2.2 board)?

Don’t know when the unit was mfg’d (delivered this Christmas by Santa!).  Is there a version number in the LCD code to guide us?

@wfr3dp Yep – that’s the correct filename.

There is no versioning on the LCD – however if things look blurry and not quite right after going to a non-Creality firmware, you can update. If the text and icons look clear, you’re fine.

@mateja176 From the Ender 3 V2 FAQ:

https://marlin.crc.id.au/faq/

I can’t link directly to it as the forum mangles the link…
