Hi, just finished assembly of my E6.

I’m hoping To get some help with a strange issue. I already flashed the mainboard and LCD to 1.0.4.9. When I set it to home it moves diagonally and reaches the end of travel in one direction before it homes. If I move it using the manual button it’s the same. IE if I move along the X axis it moves both X and Y, If I move It on the Y axis the same thing. I cannot move it in a straight line on one axis.

The Z axis seems to be ok

I cannot “Home” it or level it as it always runs out of travel in one axis before reaching its position.

I have checked the connection and they seem ok.

So I am a bit stumped about what to try next.

I’m not sure if it’s a software issue or a physical error like a connection.

Can anyone suggest a solution plz?

Ok so I worked this out, I checked all the connections to the “small” board again. They were all in the correct places, however, the other end of the cables was not correct. I had the Y-axis cable plugged into the extruder motor and the extruder connected to the Y motor.

I swapped the motor ends of the two cables around and now it seems to behave. :-).

Late now so tomorrow I can get the bed levelled and start printing, hopefully.

Anyway I thought this might help someone else with a similar issue
