Got firmware to work: 

Followed this guys instructions and firmware on the site 1.6 Powerloss. 

I dont understand why, but it works. 

New issue. the probe comes off the bed on the left, and plunges gives me a probing failed error? 

Is the firmware for this broken? 

@kjson There are two versions in Ender-5、5Pro BLtouch firmware. Which one you have used? Try another one?

Hi I have just applied both of those hex files via progisp and i'm still getting the problem where the plunger sticks out farther than the bed. 

when you mean two versions, what do you mean exactly? 

when i look at the bltouch box it says creality auto bed leveling sensor for 3D printer (Ender -3 Pro BL Touch Kit) and the check mark is next to Creality V1 Mainboard. 

@kjson Two versions: It depends on the time you buy your printer? Ender-5T84（berore 20180726 could use）Ender-5T88（after 20180726could use）

"(Ender -3 Pro BL Touch Kit) and the mark is next to Creality V1 Mainboard". This means it is for the V1.1.4 mainboard, you brought the right version Bltouch. Need to check if you flashed the right firmware.

Still no fix?
