I don't really know what I did wrong. I probably watched a dozen videos on YouTube on how to upgrade the firmware on an Ender 3 V2.
Checked my board... It is definitely a 4.2.2.
Downloaded firmware from creality website.
Formatted mini SD card as FAT32. Copied .bin file to SD card
When I turned on the printer, the display lit up but did not display anything... also started an ear piercing buzzing sound.
It does the same thing now when I try turning it on with no SD card in it at all.
Any help would be appreciated. I feel like a farmer without a tractor. lol
It depends on which firmware you are flashing. A long beeping sound normally indicates the wrong firmware.
You must have a reason to update the firmware. If you don't add a new part like BL touch, no need to update.
@eli-liu thanks for the reply...so did i just brick my machine? is there a factory reset i can do?
