Problem with flashing V4.2.7 Mainboard on Ender 3
I have some problems with flashing the firmware on the mainboard. Somehow i should be able to flash via SD-card, but nothing happens. I watched the video from creality and followed the instructions.
I don’t know what to do, to flash the firmware to the new bltouch 4.2.7.
P.S. I also tried to flash it with an USB cable, nothing happens too.
Firstly we make sure all the steps are followed.
- format the SD card and put the .bin file ( you need to change the file name to a different one to let the printer “think” it is a new firmware).
- turn on the printer and insert the card.
- there should be a beep sound when the new firmware is uploaded.
- check the screen info of the version, see if it displays the new firmware version.
Thanks, i solved the problem by formatting the sd card in the right way.
But I ran in another one: i flashed it with marlin 2.0.5. via sd card and nothing showed up (after 1 hour). I tried to flash another one, that worked on a friends machine, but waited the same for no result.
Thanks for the help ^^
@piche1 you need to change the file name every time to a different one to let the printer “think” it is a new firmware. So, simply change the firmware name except .bin and flash the printer. the whole process should take less than 3mins.
thank you, it’s working!^^
Yeah, i’m new in modifying my 3d printer.
