Hello,

My extruder motor is unresponsive when I “move axis/filament.” When I swapped the E cable with the X cable, moving the “X axis” successfully moved the extruder motor and moving the “E axis/filament” did not successfully move the X axis motor.
This led me to believe the motherboard was damaged at the E motor port, and I replaced the motherboard with BIGTREETECH’s skr mini e3 v3.0.

When I rewired everything and booted it up, the exact same problem is occurring. It’s hard to believe my brand new motherboard came broken in the same exact place, but I have no idea what else the problem could be.

Any help would be appreciated!

Just found the solution, turns out the firmware I am using automatically prevents my extruder motor from moving unless my extruder is pre heated, as a safety measure.

Preheating my extruder tip fixed the problem.
