Good Morning All,
This one is sort of confusing to me and I have yet to really find any information on the issue I am having, I post in here in hopes that someone can lead me in the right direction… I have a Ender 3 Pro and it has been up and running for almost year. I decided to venture into a fairly large print which finished up in around 18 hours. I turned it back on just recently and was welcomed with a blank blue screen. I removed the SD card and tried again to the same results, I removed the power source and tried again. I tried this process several times and eventually the Ender screen showed up. I reinserted the SD card and selected a print and nothing moves, you hear a slight bump as if it has hit the end of position but that is it, shortly after it faults out for homing failed.
I formatted a new SD card and put the firmware on, just to see if it was a bad SD card. No luck, same scenario as above. I can not get any of the axis’s to move X, Y, Z. I tried to remove the plugs for the axis and tried different ones just to see if it was the stepper motor and I got the same results as above. I can disable the stepper motors and move everything by hand freely. The only thing I have not done is remove the bottom cover to check the board and I wanted to reach out to see if anyone has ever come across this before. Only thing I can assume was the 18 hour print fried an internal component?
I tried search and I did not come across anything so I apologize if this is a repeated post. Thank you in advance for your help!
The problem has finally been solved after a month. The motherboard was the issue. The motherboard itself showed no visible issues. After installing the new motherboard I formatted the SD card and threw it in there and she started purring like a kitten! Even better than before, shes damn near silent.
