I have upgraded to the 4.2.7 board for my ender 3 pro. I am also installing the bl touch. I have tried to dl the firmware listed here but it says “the archive is either an unknown format or damaged?

Im trying to dl this one:

Ender-3 Pro-4.2.7-TMC2225

Marlin2.0.1-BLTouch-V1.3.1(with adapter board)

Do I need to rename the rar to bin?

@bobaf99 You have to rename the bin file. And before that, you need to format your sd card first and only put one bin file into your card.

I posted this in an older thread, but I think this one might be a better choice.  That said, I downloaded this FW and installed it.  When you go to the ABOUT menu it says this is Marlin V1.3 and not the 2.0 branch as the name would suggest.  Additionally, the Linear advance function that is supported w/ version 2.0 does not work as it should.  This is indicative of a version of Marlin earliner than 2.0.

When will Creality release a version based on Marlin v2 and support the 5Pin dedicated port onthe v4.2.7 silent board?

@mikeinca That means the firmware did not be flashed successfully. The firmware of the V4 series motherboard is Marlin2.0.1. No doubt.

You will find the FW version info on the printer screen is V1.1.1, I do not know why Creality guys named it as 1.1.1, but if you use the M115 command to view firmware information, you will find it is 2.0.1.

@vautourb There are lots of videos teaching us how to flash the firmware. I think people should watch more related this.
