New V2 printer initial set up. Everything worked fine upon completion of set up, movement on all axis, temperatures all set up, etc. Installed BL Touch and tried to update firmware for it. Z end stop was removed. BL Touch  turns red and system just beeps. The control unit never comes up, stays blank so have no access to printer unit.

Do I need to flash the mainboard? Mine has the TMC2208, but do not see it in downloads, but the 2225.

Marlin 2.0.1 – v.1.1.2 BLTouch – TMC 2225

straight from the Creality download site.

@lcobb Ender3 v2 default mainboard is V4.2.2(32bits with TMC2209). Please try this one: Marlin-2.0.1-BL-Touch – V1.1.1(without adapter board). Do Not use an adapter board.

@lcobb The point is that the machine never boots up. Could you please take a picture of your mainboard? I am wondering how you connected the wiring for BL-touch.

Or, please take the BL-touch off and re-flash the default firmware to see if the printer could work correctly again.

@lcobb Looks good. If you take the BL-touch off and flash the default firmware could make your printer work, I can only say that the firmware flashing process is not correct. Format an SD card that under 16GB. Put the.bin file only into the card, insert to the printer, the power on.

@lcobb  https://forums.creality3dofficial.com/download/ender-series/ender-3-v2/   In your case, take off the BL-touch and use Marlin-2.0.1 – V1.0.2 (Factory Firmware)
