Hi, my extruder is broken after just 5 days (see picture)
Maybe it was broken from the beginning, I have only used the sample filament and installed it 1 time. The first days it made perfect prints and then it started to make weird lines
and it started to under extrude and I cleaned the nozzle and found the error, extruder crack.

Does anyone know if I can use this Extruder? (Link below)
The text says CR Series, this must also include CR 6 E?? or any other metal replacement?

@mmdrake You can contact customer service to send you a replacement in this case.

But if you want to do some change, there is someone who did this upgrade for 6SE on the forum.

https://forums.creality3dofficial.com/community/cr-6-se/cr-6-se-extruder-upgrade/#post-5086

The Creality extruder has 3 types:

1.Black(Plastics), grey(metal), and red(Metal) extruders, their default gear ratio are 93, and the screws have the same locations. So they should be suitable for 6SE.

2. The double gear extruder for the CR series machine. The default gear ratio is NOT 93. Can not be used for 6SE.

3. The near-end extruder. Can not be used on 6SE.

Bonjour Kevin,

Pensez-vous que c’est correct pour le CR-6 SE?

@christ49fr Bonjour Chris. I do not think so. I have disassembled the 6SE extruder cover to check, it is the single gear with a filament pulley, not the double gear as your picture. The default gear ratio is not the same, so may cause many problems.

I am going to try to install a metal extruder in a few days as many people are confused about this.

Oh what is this picture? After installation of the metal extruder or the original one?

Hello to all, Salut @Christ49Fr

I replaced the original extruder of my CR-6-SE by the model with double gears and with no problem of assembly (photo) .

On the other hand, I have to raise the filament sensor of about 8mm (photo) so that the filament is aligned with the extruder.
The spring is too firm, I cut on one side 1 turn.

After and it is imperative to calibrate the step/mm of the extruder:
Read my advice on the post “Extruder Calibration CR6 SE” at 26/03/2021 10:43 pm.

After that, it’s all good! ? ?

Salut @Christ49Fr,
