When are we likey to see the source released for 2.0.1.3 or above please
I got a new mainboard because my fist one bricked after 4 prints. I just installed the new board and I ran into the Chinese-only language problem that people have had previously. I flashed to 2.0.1.3 and updated the screen, both successful. However, now neither the hot end or bed will heat. This was working fine when I first installed the board, because I was able to find my way to the auto-level screen and run it successfully prior to updating to be able to see the menu in English. What the heck?
The CR-6 SE is a great little design, being limited only by horrible customer support. Every interaction I have had with support takes days. The firmware instructions are horribly written. I had to reread sentences and read people's posts to make sure I got the steps correct. The USB issue was a fiasco. This is my second Creality printer, but it is my last. Support just gets worse and worse and with all of the ongoing maintenance issues, I could have spent more up front and had a printer that worked consistently for the same amount of money I have spent fixing things due to extremely low quality. Seriously, a board that blows up after 4 small prints?
Hello
Updating to this firmware causes both the head and bed heaters to completely stop working. Errors with heating during bed levelling and pre-heating for e.g. for PLA.
The heaters don't activate at all.
@ph4wks Maybe it is not a firmware issue. CR-6SE mainboard got many issues. I do not know. ?
Hmmm
I would agree however it did it to 2 brand new printers. Sent one back. New one arrived and worked fine. Upgraded firmware on day 2 and boom. No heating.
Both printers are on V4.5.3 mobo and had 2.0.1.2 on when they arrived.
I'm about to downgrade back to 2.0.1.2 to see if the heaters start working again.
After downgrading back to 2.0.1.2 this issue hasn't resolved.
I'm convinced that the act of upgrading the firmware caused this. Heaters were both activating before but not after. On 2 brand new printers.
Any advice welcome! The printer has been rendered useless...
For info it was the official firmware from this thread that killed the heater controls for both the head and the bed. It also caused the head to bash into the bed like jack hammer.
The same 2.0.1.3 firmware from this thread fixed both issues.
