- Add [30-second screen shutdown] function to reduce the power and light pollutions.
Note: 32GB or higher storage SD card may not be recognized by the 3D printer.
I believe from now on, we will have an update log for each new firmware. We are working on it.
New firmware may have unknown bugs. download and upload new firmware cautiously.

Looking forward, I think, to installing this. Just got the printer running again last week after MB replacement, reluctant to do anything but…
SO, installed Z-zip, downloaded the FW and unzipped it to a desktop folder. It contains3 files, the log, a V2.0.12 motherboard FW and what appears to be another Zip file, DWIN_Set, yet you can open the .bmp files, so not zipped now?
So procedure is to put the Motherboard FW , named xxx.bin on an empty SD card, put card in printer and power up?
What do I put on the SD card for the screen? the DWIN_Set, as-is and if so, again named yyy.bin?
Really don’t want to screw this up
I think the firmware installation procedure should always be the same, but I too have problems as @jwblazek understanding if the files in the DWIN_SET directory should be on the SD card or if only the * .bin file should be present in the SD card. In every way the updated FW is in Chinese and the choice of language will disappear after restarting the printer.
please give to option to disable the screen saver
can be a bit annoying
Thank you all for the comments and suggestions. Adding an update log is a great improvement from Creality. you are welcome to leave your opinion about the new firmware here or at our forum. I’ll gather all the info and deliver it to the firmware engineers. To make better firmware.
For basic questions like how to flash the firmware, you can find answers on other posts at our forum.
Followed every step in this video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giLGRq7UM2k&feature=youtu.be) for flashing the FW and screen. The firmware flashed fine and was stuck in Chinese, as expected, and the fix is to brush the screen, but the screen does not accept the new DWIN_SET file on the SD. Any suggestions?
Current version is T5L1 DGUS V1.4 2019.04.18 and the new version in FW 2.0.1.2 looks like this T5LCFG_272480_╙▓╝■┼Σ╓├╬─╝■CFG. Is this right or is the file corrupt?
Tried to brush the screen with both a 32bit and 8bit SD, both formatted in FAT32 and neither worked.
Followed instructions in file on downloaded V2,0.1.2, seems to install on MB and front panel. PROBLEM now is its in Chinese!! How do I get English?
Machine, of course, is DOWN now because I can’t read Chinese
@jwblazek by guessing where is the language option and change it. ?
@eli-liu Verified it was the new stuff by guessing where the BAOUT key was and saw th enew version. Reflashed front panel again and it came up in English
Thanks
Thank you!
This really is a good step in the right direction with the change log and very much appreciated. Also thank you for the additional guidance videos – nice to see what is reccomended process from the supplier.
I have updated successfully and happy with the improvements and fixes.

Oh Eli-liu, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give us an option to turn off the 30 sec screen shutdown. I know you want to save the world with less power and less light pollution, but give US the users this choice.
What would be even better, is give us the ability to increase the timeout, say 1 min, 5 min, 30 min, 60 min or NEVER!
As a dedicated Creality user (Ender 3, Ender 3Pro, CR6-SE) i have NEVER experienced this setting before and it MOST annoying for me and from reading other forums and this one, countless others as well.
Another option please: Why have you forced the ‘Z’ Offset to increase/decrease by .5mm and not .1mm at each press of the up/down button??? My ideal ‘Z’ offset is .23mm, but you are forcing me to use either .20mm or .25mm!!! Both are wrong and are effecting my prints.
If you persist in these 2 silly settings on this CR6-SE printer, you will force me into getting the BigTreeTech motherboard, something i don’t want to do on this printer as i want to keep it as close as i can to how you built it!
Please consider both request, as a Christmas present to me and 1000’s of other users.

CREALITY READ THE ABOVE POST!!
Well Said Stevecol,
Eli, please change this.
Turns out the SD format needs to be 4k. Found the info in a FB conversation. Applied the settings, which should have been mentioned in the video, uploaded to the printer screen, and now all is right.
I successfully updated the Board with the 8GB SD-Card that was included with the printer. A 32 GB Card, which I tried first, didn’t work.
Flashing the Screen-FW was successfull with a 4 GB Card. First try with a 16 GB Card didn’t work.
@boogabaga I had the same problem, i tried with two diferent micro SD cards both FAT32 4096 bytes with no success. After an hour of fighting i tried with a old micro SD card again with FAT32 4096 bytes and… it worked.
It seems to be a incompatibility problem with the micro SD cards
