This morning my CR-6 SE started making a clicking noise while printing. Yesterday I printed several things and it was whisper quiet all day long. This morning I was printing using the small spool of white filament that came with the printer when I started hearing the noise. So far I’ve taken the following steps to try and resolve the problem:
1 – Changed filament from the one supplied with the printer to HatchBox PLA which has always worked great in this printer and the CR-10 I had previously.
2 – Used a can of compressed air to blow out the filament feed sensor and filament feed feeder.
3 – Updated the firmware on the printer.
4 – Re-ran the bed level process.
5 – Tried to print something and it doesn’t print worth a damn now.
The attached file shows the quality of what I see today versus what I saw yesterday.
Movie of the sound I’m hearing when I attempt to print.
I’m having the same problem…at first, I thought it was a clogged nozzle keeping the filament from advancing, but changed nozzles and still the same clicking and the filament isn’t advancing as it should.
@markam Did you ever find a solution to this clicking problem? I have symptoms that are very similar.
