Hitting the bed

I have recently purchased an Ender 5 Pro with BL touch. My first printer and my first time printing.

I have levelled the bed and sorted the offset and managed to print a benchy.

However I then tried to print something I designed on Tinkercad and ever since then I have had two issues.

1) when the printer goes to print after a home the bed comes up so high it compresses the end stop switch fully and the extruder hits the bed.

2) just before it prints the bed moves down so the extrude isn't hitting the bed but it barely moves down anymore as the print continues. This results in the extruder continually printing over and over again on the same level which just squashes the recently laid down filament.

Any ideas anyone?
