I have bought a bl touch from Amazon recently and I tested it and it worked fine but now I replaced my glass bed for a flexible magnetic bed and now I have issues with the z offset. Every time I want to use my bl touch I need to set the z offset again because the offset resets as I turn of my printer. I have a 4.2.2 board and use octoprint
@jochempost Have you tried adding these lines to the start of your gcode file? Another thing to check is that after setting the z offset you are scrolling down to click "Store Settings" which will save the value to EEPROM storage.
